My love of bonsai has been on and off for over 27 years, since my son was born. I've had trees that have died I spent money on top quality trees, that have died. And so it was on and off.
6 years ago I started training under Mark d’Cruz and his bonsai school to develop the right skills and techniques on how to maintain good quality bonsai. Along with this journey I began to realise the connection with Tai Chi and the possible points of how they actually connect with the placement of trees within their pots and the angles and which they are displayed. The classic principles of the Tai Chi column, as if the head is suspended from above, is the same as finding the centre line of the tree.
I was introduced and recommended by Mark to train Nobu Kajiwara, who interviewed me, before taking me on as his student of bonsai. Nubo’s served his apprenticeship with the famous Japanese Kato brothers.
With Nubo I have gained many insights how my Tai Chi study connects with my bonsai study and how this really suits my nurturing personality and from 43yrs as a hair sculpting artists. Connecting with all my Tai chi and Qigong, breathing coaching and mindfulness. Also spending time with UK bonsai artist Will Baddeley, Wildwod Bonsai, and Granham Potter, Kaizan Bonsai.
Tai chi, "Supreme Ultimate" is a state of undifferentiated absolute and infinite potential. In my Tai chi bonsai academy i share these insights with those who wish to learn how to re-pot and take care of their bonsai trees energy, alignment and development. Combining yours with theirs.
